Materiaz — Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility & Accounts

To use Materiaz:

  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • You agree to provide accurate registration details
  • You’re responsible for maintaining account security

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our policies.

2. User Roles

Users: Can search materials, use the chat tool, and explore quotes (where enabled)

Suppliers: Can submit material or company information, and optionally participate in quoting

We reserve the right to approve or reject supplier participation at our discretion

3. Content & Uploads

By uploading files (PDFs, CAD files, etc.):

  • You confirm you have the right to share that content
  • You grant us a limited license to store, analyze, and display it for service delivery
  • You agree not to upload confidential, illegal, or harmful material

4. Use of AI Tools

Materiaz may use third-party APIs (e.g., OpenAI) to:

  • Provide chat-based assistance
  • Interpret materials or file content

You understand responses may be AI-generated and are not a substitute for professional engineering advice.

5. Payments & Subscriptions (Suppliers)

Some features (e.g., supplier visibility or quoting) may require a paid subscription.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate billing information
  • Pay all fees on time
  • Contact us if you wish to cancel or pause

We reserve the right to modify pricing with prior notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Violations may result in removal or legal action.

7. Liability Disclaimer

Materiaz provides tools and recommendations for informational purposes only.

We are not liable for manufacturing errors, material misuse, or supplier disputes. Use of the platform is at your own risk.

8. Communications

By using the platform, you may receive service-related emails (e.g., login, updates).

You can opt in/out of marketing communications at any time.

9. Modifications

We may update these Terms occasionally.

If the changes are significant, we’ll notify you via email or website banner.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, unless otherwise required by local law.
